BUT
I often import PPT into Apple Keynote…
It anti aliases the text and adds nice drop shadows.
Can then do video quality dissolves or text animations….
And Export to a Broadcast Quality movie…
we do it for Bars and Graphs all the times

Create a gradient layer Black and White radial
Run Radial Blur > Zoom to pull rays out…Then use blending modes to create variations in lighting

Blending options are access in the info bar for tools or layers palette for layers…
a shortcut is to select a tool without blending modes *such as marquee, move or hand) then press Shift + or Shift – to cycle modes
