The 3D texture layer is like a Smart Object…
Open it to edit it.. Then choose Save As from the Save menu and pick a TIFF or other supported format

DPI means nothing in video…
Its ALL about total pixels…
Multiply the zoom ration by your screen size… IE 5X zoom times 720 = approx 4,000 pixels wide.
Your scanner (or Photoshop) can measuer image size in pixels…
Bringing in more is overkill and produces additional softening.
You’ll also get better results in AE for this (see article on Cow I have written).

Look at write on effect… or use a Wcam tablet and do a series of animated brish strokes.

Make sure your timeline settings match your intended output (DV, 8 bit etc)

MOST broadcasters use 720 X 486
There is NO SUCH THING as dpi in video graphics (or Photoshop for that matter)
Photoshop uses PPI (or pixels per inch).

You can also pick up one of the overly detailed books on subject or take a look at weekly podcast series.Do get you started
