I have not had quicktime work in after effects in about a year now. was there a fix?

unfortunately once you start trying to customize the randomness, it doesnt work well. you can fake it using your one japanese character and your one latin character..this being per letter of your message

its cc ball action i think..if you add the cc ball action, and start to scatter and twist it…make another copy with smaller balls, then do a linear wipe on both it would work decently well…since you probably dont want to pay that muuch for trapcode form… . the shine is cc light sweep.

okay..do you know how to make the wiggle expression then tie the values to a slider control? then you could animate the slider to control the wiggle

Rap baby…RAP…REposition anchor point. It is a free plugin. Any which way you draw the mask this can center it or put it on the edge..even centers it with 3d objects which is very difficult otherwise.

Yes..you see your layer has the motion blur option and the 3d option…well see that fx symbol. if you uncheck it, all the effects on that layers are turned off.

well do you have element 3d? If not you could do a 2d animated roll.
