    Thank you Lars,

I cannot find out much about this old (1970s) GAF 8/Super 8 projector. Not adjustable.
    I assume it’s playing 24 fps then.

The Canon Vixia has choices of 30 and 60 (and maybe 50?)

So, I see… if the two systems can somehow be made a “multiple” of each other they could
theoretically be in phase 24/72 or 24/48… I’ll try to find out more.

My old 16 projector, a nice Singer Graflex, is much more sophisticated and may have a speed control.

    Thank you!!

    Richard

    Jason, et al,

Thank you for responding. Yes, I was able to make the speed on the Canon “TV 60” and it
reduced the flutter appearance dramatically… Thanks!

I think the key is that the speed of Projector (not adjustable on mine) should evenly divide
into the speed of the Canon, so they are somewhat in sync… I think…

I found this interesting site on how-to procedure for this:

    Best regards,

    Hi Ron,

    Thank you!

My son told me about http://www.vixy.net but I couldn’t get the “online version” to work. But there is
a download beta which seems to be working just great now… except after about three downloads it seizes up and I have to relaunch it.

    Thanks for responding!!!

    Wayne and Steve,

Thank you very much for responding… I have gotten some decent exports now.

I used the compression called “HDV1080i60” inside FCP and set the dominant field to Upper. It seems as though this Canon HV30 wants to use this native (?) compression setting. I tried a few exports with the Apple Compressor and it didn’t seem to work as well.

In the “Settings” I set it to 1440 x 1080 as there is not a 1920 x 1080 setting available. Is this because of the fact that HDV is already “compressed” a bit?

    Thanks again!!

    Richard
