It really seems like the exposure difference will be pretty extreme. Using 50D film, the meter readings are calling for an f-16 at full sun and an f-2 near the end of the sunset. I wonder if it would work to slowly crank down the iris over the course of a lot frames?

I just had read some stuff that on the EX1 people tried to put filters on and couldn’t get the mattebox back on. Maybe it’s not an issue with the EX3.

Gotcha. But I’m having a difficult time figuring out the component cables. Are they BNC on one side and RCA on the other? Maybe you could point me to a link on B&H for the appropriate cables? Sorry to be a pain.

Also, will I notice any quality loss using component as opposed to HDMI?

I just click the triangle in the upper right corner of the timeline and choose to close frame. That closes them all.
