You need to list your computer equipment set up for us to answer that.
You need a video monitor, lcd or crt for sure but your system and budget will determine the best set up.
Try searching “color correction” or “best monitor” etc for more info, this is a common topic and there is a wealth of info in previous posts.

What format was it shot in and what format are you editing in? (what ever that is will still be better than working from your dvd conversion of that format)

Now that most of us are up to speed with HD and the public has begun the migration to in home HD theater we should start seeing the 3D TV coming to market and get ready to gear up for it. :‹(
It will likely require the extra space and speed.

Yes, eventually after the 128GB cards come out but don’t you mean it will be priced where the 32GB card now is and the 32 will drop to the 16 price? or are you just trying to condition Jan and Panasonic to that way of thinking? 🙂

I’ll start by saying “you’re away ahead of me” but I thought I’d still take the liberty to add something I think is valuable.
I agree with everyones thoughts so far.
My 1st impression is it has a dark feel to it (like Black Sabbath” dark).
There’s too much homework – I mean all that reading is overwhelming and reminds me of walking home from school burdened with an armload of homework and in the back of my mind I’m thinking of all the fun stuff I won’t be doing after supper.What I want to add is an experience I had when I showed my graphic artist friend my 1st homemade business card many years ago. He tactfully tore it apart (literally) without making me feel to bad in the process. 1st. thing he did was edit. He kept the Video Production title and contact info. All the services I had listed were edited to basically one word each which he kept in it’s own bordered area.
When he threw the 5 minute sketch back in front of me I totally understood everything he had said. He then explained that viewer’s eyes need a place to go and relax – you have to have pure wide open space with nothing in it which is just clean background. The information is grouped in clumps with lots of space around. The beauty of web sites is all the pages you can add. You don’t need to pile on a ton of info on every page or it becomes homework we have to wade through. Visitors will love to seek out more info if you keep them hungry for more by keeping pages simple with a clean look.
The people at slice edit have kept their main page for a long time now although I think it used to be bigger at first without all the black background. It continues to be one of my favorites, Take a look:

The Ewa marine are triple the price but they have an optical glass front lens and a clear plastic window at the back for a viewfinder view. They are also moulded so the main buttons are workable.
Looking at the photo I can’t see that it has an optical glass for the camera lens to see out of. Their description seems to defame the Ewa Marine screw system to seal it. Their twist lock sounds better in theory but if it leaks then it’s a loser. Maybe you should post a review at B&H.
I can’t see user error coming into account here either unless some sand of what ever got caught in the sealing surface.

Last time I was at NAB was 2000 and the big Christie projectors were pretty visible in roomlight then. 8 years later they have to have gotten better. Video Systems magazine used to have an annual projector shoot out but I haven’t followed them since they quit mailing their mag to Canada. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
