Best way to begin is just to jump into it. Do a bit of research, but an edit software you like and then watch tutorials on youtube. May take a few months to get the hang of it but you will get there.

I moved from 7 to x. It was hard to adjust to x at first but once i got the hang of it i realised how user friendly it was. I now use it all of the time and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about jumping ship.

Hi Lili,
Maybe the frame rate settings of the video footage is different than the time line settings. If you go into preferences and match the frame rate you shouldn’t have a problem.

Hi Tim,
I think in FCPX they have made preferences much more user friendly. I found this quite anoying at the start but over time I got used to them.

Have you tried going to your audio export settings and selecting export as mono ?
