May 2, 2006 at 6:27 pm in reply to: Steve Wargo was in a major motorcycle accident the Friday prior to NAB.I just got this update regarding Steve and it includes email and telephone addresses.
Steve is in the Acute Rehab floor at the Scottsdale-Osborn Hospital, located at 7400 E Osborn, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. We are not sure how long he will be there. He is in room 444 and is allowed visitors from 10a-7p. He is truly enjoying the visits and it is helping to keep his spirits up, so please visit if you want. You can call him direct at 480-882-6444 or you can email him at stevewargo@fastermail.com
Here is a list of his injuries:
1. Broken Left Jaw, teeth are gone
2. Broken Left Shoulder (scapula)
3. Fractured Spine at: C6, C7, T1, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, T9, T10, T11, T12
4. Broken Ribs, Right Side, in the back: Ribs #s 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
5. Broken Pelvis, Right Side – broken two places in the acetabulum
6. Left Arm tissue/nerve damageAll in all, he is in pretty good shape compared to what the hospital is used to seeing in a motorcycle accident. He will be okay…it will take time for him to heal and he will be getting lots of rehab and physical therapy.
We appreciate all the love and support from everyone. Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery.
Our Heartfelt Thanks,
Jackie & Steve Wargo

[Steve Wargo] “Light your background at 40%, caucasion skin at 70%, keep your subject 12′ away from the wall, side light them with a touch of magenta.”
And if your subject is wearing white and any of the green reflects onto their shoulder, wash their shoulder with amber or yellow light. This changes the green reflected light to another color that won’t “key”

Let us know if you hear of a link for registration. I have gone every year for the past four years but I don’t want to trust that Sony will email me or automatically put me on their list for this year.
Thanks for the post.

February 3, 2006 at 2:05 pm in reply to: Dark Compression resets to Normal with power cycle!John.
Thanks for the reply to my post. We have a shoot in a cavern the middle of February with an original 2700F and I just booked time with Panasonic in Burbank to have our camera upgraded prior to our shoot date.
Our biggest complaint with our 2700F has always been noise in the blacks during a dark studio shoot. Outside in the Arizona sun, the camera looks great! Thanks again to you and the Cow for letting me know about this.
All the best,

February 2, 2006 at 4:25 pm in reply to: Dark Compression resets to Normal with power cycle! You have us scratching our heads. Goodman’s guide does not mention this and we have an original 2700F. Does this reduce noise in the dark areas and is it only on the 2700H and upgraded 2700Fs?
I just got back from Varicamp and it was never mentioned there either.
All the best,

I agree, my evenings are booked that Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights during NAB.
Thanks for the note and all that you do for us.

Good morning, Kathlyn.
I am putting my calendar together for NAB and is there a hit of a Cow get together in Las Vegas? I am more concerned on the date and time, rather than a location.
All the best,
Ray Palmer
