Thanks Ty, I think I’m in stereo. When I play a DVD of a scne on my stereo TV, I hear the actors through both right and left speakers, but when there’s a cut to a clip that was shot using only one channel (direct into the camera with no mixer) it will only come out of one speaker.
Is it possible to just added a copy of a single channel track below the original on the time line and make it either left or right?

Perry, I played the DVD on a DVD player and sent the signal into Premiere Pro via Firewire from my DVX100A, but when I tried to capture to Premiere, it just captured what was on the tape in the camcorder.
Is it possible to just capture what’s in the capture window?

Hello Aanarav. I think I figured it out.
I just compared two Project Settings – one with General Display Format reading “24fps timecode” and another with “30fps Non Drop Frame Timecode”
The “30fps Non Drop Frame Timecode” gave me the same top and bottom bars as when I shot it and the “24fps timecode” gave me the black box around it. I tried importing and pasting clips from one project to another and they changed everytime.
I’m not sure how I ended up with a 24fps display, but importing into the 30fps timeline changed it.

– One more thing, when I burned a DVD I still ended up with a black box around it when I viewed it on my TV. Is that because of the 720×480 res?

Thanks for the help. I ended up making a blimp from chicken wire and puting some fake fur over it. Looks like it will work Ok. We’ll see (or hear) Thanks Craig

Forgot to mention the mic. It’s a K6-ME67 (That’s the long one – 12inches total)
