November 19, 2019 at 5:23 am in reply to: Events on timeline are blank (properties shows Active take name as “None”), no video plays in preview or when rendering the eventUnfortunately, that didn’t work. I just see a bunch of random characters, and the file path for the project (I copied and pasted the blank events to a new project)

July 10, 2017 at 8:29 pm in reply to: Having problems with Vegas causing my laptop to overheat after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10I don’t have any experience with advanced laptop hardware, so I wouldn’t be comfortable at all with cleaning the inside myself, and I’m a little hesitant to take it to a professional. The laptop is sort of falling apart (the frame around the screen is loose, so it has to be handled carefully, and I can’t even close the lid).
I’d just replace the laptop, but I simply can’t afford it. Is there anything you can recommend that I could do myself?

April 1, 2015 at 5:31 pm in reply to: Can I change one instance of a certain color in a video event? What if there was fewer blue in the video event? That was just an example? I should have used something closer to what I’m actually working on?
Would you mind explaining what I would do with the Secondary Color Corrector?

Is there a render setting you’d suggest instead?[John Rofrano] “are you using 8-bit or 32-bit pixel mode in your project settings?”
It’s set to 8-bit, but there are two 32-bit settings– “video levels” and “full range.” Which should I select?[John Rofrano] “I noticed your preview is set to Best. Are you rendering using Best mode?”
I actually preview in “Preview” mode. It automatically changes to “Best” when rendering.[John Rofrano] “Why are you recording game play at 60 fps?”
I use a Hauppauge HD PVR, and I think (not positive) it only gives you the option to record in 1080i 60 fps for HD footage. I’ll double check the next time I hook it up. -

-No effects, transitions, or anything of the sort. The footage was simply cut down (removing footage I didn’t need from the source file) and rendered.
-“Rendering” screen (only the tracks shown are present in the project– there are no additional tracks that are out of frame):

-Did not disable resample; will remember next time. Much thanks for that piece of advice.
If there’s anything else, just let me know. Thanks again.

January 5, 2014 at 3:23 pm in reply to: Whenever I open Vegas (Pro 11, 64-bit), the window is completely scaled down (pics inside)I actually have no problem maximizing the window after I open Vegas. It’s just annoying to not have it maximized already when I open it. I was hoping there’s a way to fix that.

Maybe . .”
Right, I get what you’re saying. What I meant by what I said was that I was trying to make something beyond a simple sports video that most people make. Speaking of which…
[Graham Bernard] “O..K.. you don’t say anything more? A tutorial? A Match day Event, that is both strewn with purposeful inciteful Bretchtian meaning and dripping with Hitchcock-ian awkwardnesses? All you’ve said is a “Sports Video”? What am I to garner from that…..? Already you’ve gotten the idea that creating tension is . . .”
You’re right, you’re right. Absolutely right. I’ll tell you what– here’s my YouTube channel, so you can personally see exactly what it is I do:

Thanks again. I really appreciate how much of help you have been and most likely will be in the near future.

EDIT: @ Graham Bernard
That’s a really good idea. I like it a lot, and I can’t wait to try it. Appreciate it.
