Thanks. Yep, double clicking the timeline did it.

I am used to using Cyberlink PowerDirector where I don’t have to do this.

    Thanks again,

Ok, I was screwing up two different ways here.

First of all, I was installing in Vegas Pro 9 Video Plugins folder.
The install should go to c:/Program Files/

Next, I was using a 32bit version. I am running Vista 64 bit.

Got the right version, installed and all ok, so far…..

The transitions/FX are watermarked in the demo.

So you’re saying you can drag and drop a .mts clip into Vegas?

But what about .MTS clips I already have on the computer?
    They need to be .m2ts

I was having the same problem. Vista 64bit. Sony HR11. Vegas Pro 9.
Vegas Pro 9 will not accept .mts. I think this has been a problem since
ever!! It’s funny that with Cyberlink Power Director (<$150.00), you can drag and drop .mts files into it. The files on the camera are .mts format. Vegas requires .m2ts. If you have Sony Picture Motion software, it will convert the .mts into .m2ts, and Vegas will accept it. I don't understand this, but it's what I've found....

    Ok, figured it out.

For cryin out loud…Sony Vegas wants a Sony .m2ts format file and
    not .MTS!!!

I have to use Sony Picture Motion Browser to pull it off the Sony camera.
It does some magic and creates a Sony .m2ts!!!

Like I said before, the cheapo Cyberlink will let me drag and drop
    the Sony .MTS files!!!

    Notice everything is Sony’s!!!! 🙂

Takes a bit more time but alls well….

Oh, one more thing. I have Cyberlink PowerDirector and
I can drag and drop .MTS files right into it with no porblems.

For your info, I received this directly from Boris:

We do support Vegas 9 32-bit, but not 64-bit. RED,
Graffiti and FX 9.3 will all run within the system.
