I’m playing around with Vegas 9 and trying to render to .avi.
My video is about a minute or so.

It goes through the motions of rendering, but it happens very fast.

The subsequent avi file is blank.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Ray

on your project properties select resolution to best direct the folders to where you want them to go

[Ray Jender] “It goes through the motions of rendering, but it happens very fast.”

this may be beacuse you have marked a tiny area which its rendering only that, if you double click on the time line it will create a marked area stretch that area to the desired length than try that

[Ray Jender] “The subsequent avi file is blank.”
how large is this blank file, that should give you a clue of how much got rendered

Have you stretched the project markers (little yellow upside down triangles at the top of the timeline) to encompass the whole project you want rendered?

Thanks. Yep, double clicking the timeline did it.

I am used to using Cyberlink PowerDirector where I don’t have to do this.

    Thanks again,

    Ray
