I’m not a professional by no means, but I like to think so, HA! HA!
I do videography/Photography as a hobby and what an expensive one at that. I’m in the process of putting together a still picture photo montage of my last trip from Hungary to Amsterdam with music. Where ever you start, I suggest getting the tutorials because Gary explains step by step on what to do and explains each and every detail about the program. You can learn the basics or expand your learning curve by learning more of the advance steps.

I have to strongly agree with Doug. I’ve been with Sony Vegas since Vegas 4. I have Gary Kleiner’s Vegas5 Companion Tutorial which is a 5 disc set, plus I have the DVD Authoring with DVD Architect 2.0 Tutorial which is a 2 disc set. I have moved onto Vegas6 and I have his new Vegas6 tutorials along with Architect3. They’re a great reference to have.

Hi All,

I had a pixelated problem a while ago from a bridal shower. It was only noticable in the editing process. I couldn’t understand why this happened. I just recently had my Canon GL2 cleaned and checked out by Canon. It was happening to all my brand new tapes that I record on from that point on. I always used the same name brand tapes (maxell) and I never switch tape brands. So I went out to buy a brand new cheap Canon camcorder from Sams Club and use it only for transfering my footage to the timeline in Vegas6. Guess what? That solved my problem. Whatever Canon had done internally to my GL2, it now transferes with pixelation in my footage. It was now beyond the 30 day period and to get this fix I had to pay another $100 just to check this problem out by Canon. That sucks. Now you know the rest of the story. HI All,

After reading this post, I do have to say that B&H Photo has a great reputation. I purchase all my photo & video camera gear from them. When I was in New York City, I actually went to B&H Photo just to see their store and I was really impressed. The sales staff helped me out with a few questions that I had and were very polite. I wish there was a B&H Photo in Chicagoland area. That’s ok though, shipping is fast and there’s no tax since I from out of state. I’ll always buy from B&H Photo because I want nothing but the best service and advice when I purchase something.
