I am a user of Dell M6600 with Nvidia 4000M, 512GB SDD, 1TB HDD, i7 processor, 2920XM, 16GB SD DDR3 RAM @1600MHz with 17.3″HD dispaly with BlueRayWriter. Installed APPro CS5.5. I did not have problem running the s/ware. seems very fast and no problems. Dell after sales service support is excellent in Australia and from Malaysia. But Dell Sales from India given me too much pain configuring the system cos they are not familier with the software for video editing. I am a Dell user since 1995 with no problems.

January 9, 2012 at 6:07 am in reply to: Can I offload a portion of an SxS card?Hi Craig
I will prefer the way u suggest..it’s very safe..u don’t have to think about it while u r recording the next episode..It’s not worth the risk uness u have multi camera recording..

Here in Australia we can cover the professional cameras under Home and Contents Insurance(annual basis) for breakages, theft, accidental damage, home away, etc., It’s bit expensive but worth it if u hav expensive camera gear..

Win 7 Ultimate 64BIT
Yes, I have scanned after inserting the SXS mem card in the slot. The way I have done like this:
Device Manager >>> Disk Drives >>>> SONY SXS >>> Right click on Sony SXS and selected “Scan for hardware changes”.
Then went to Sony ClipBrowser to see whether I can see the files on the SXS card. I can see SS Memry card (N:\drive). But I could not see any content on the card though there (in SXS meme card)are contents.
Excellent…I got it now…
U know,(I know u know that)I have to scan without the mem card inside and again I have to scan with mem card inside.then it appears with data in the Sony browser as BPAV folder….Whot a drama I have to go thru with ya..Almost one day gone on tackling this prob. but finally with ur help…all started working..
Thanks for the lots of patience while handling the tech prob with me over e-mails. Ur conitunous help much appreciated today(Saturday). U had a good customer experience today..I will be one of your happy customers again…

Hi, I recommend APC UPs for Video Editing work. Very reliable and parts are available. I was using my APC UPS for the last 8yrs without any problem.

Has any one knows about what sort of DDR3 SDRAM MEM capacity needed (Maximum) to run Win 7 Professional smoothly?
