Record HDTV to my EX1?
Posted by Peter Chambers on February 10, 2012 at 10:34 pmIs this possible? I have an HD cable package, a digital box and an HD TV. Is there a way to record HD video to my EX1?

The component connections on the EX-1 are for output only. You can record the programs to your computer, if you have an HD capture card with component in. HDMI will not work do to copy protection on the HD broadcasts. -

Do you have any suggestions for an HD capture card? I’m running a Mac Quad Core. I currently have a Canopus ADVC110 and looking to upgrade. Does Canopus/Grass Valley have a box that you would recommend? Or something similar from another company?

Thanks again.
