The format is just standard SD, 4×3, 29.97. Basically, it’s just home videos I edited a while back that I need some footage from.

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually, i have been using Mpegstreamclip to rip from DVDs. However, there are some instances where it will only rip a portion of the disc even though you select all the .vob files.

Thanks for your response Kristian. I have an Aphex audio balancer which accepts RCA input and spits out via XLR. I’m going to give this a try.
