Can Decklink SP be connected to a consumer DVD player in order to crash record onto an NLE? Thanks for your time.

    Hi,

Yes, this is possible. You might need to convert the audio outputs of the DVD player to a suitable level for our card’s inputs.

Thanks for your response Kristian. I have an Aphex audio balancer which accepts RCA input and spits out via XLR. I’m going to give this a try.

    Hi poniboy,
Is just a an idea, but why don’t you try directly from the DVD driver. With MPEG Streamclip you can convert from the files on the disc direct to 10Bits UC or whatever. And you can mark in and out points.

    Rafael,

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually, i have been using Mpegstreamclip to rip from DVDs. However, there are some instances where it will only rip a portion of the disc even though you select all the .vob files.

Use fix timecode breaks to see the whole file.
