Decklink SP to consumer DVD Player?

Yes, this is possible. You might need to convert the audio outputs of the DVD player to a suitable level for our card’s inputs.

Is just a an idea, but why don’t you try directly from the DVD driver. With MPEG Streamclip you can convert from the files on the disc direct to 10Bits UC or whatever. And you can mark in and out points.

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually, i have been using Mpegstreamclip to rip from DVDs. However, there are some instances where it will only rip a portion of the disc even though you select all the .vob files.
