    Kristian,

Since you’ve been answering my posts I thought I’d direct this one to you. Anyway, I finally received my NTSC monitor (Sony PVM-14L1) yesterday. I connected the “SDI Monitoring” cable to the video input and the “SPDIF monitoring” cable to the audio input. I configured After Effects 7 to preview using Blackmagic Video output but I still cannot see anything on my Sony monitor. Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced.

    System configuration:
Mac Pro, Quad 2.66, 2GB RAM, 1 TB media HD, 2×23″ Cinema Display
Decklink SP PCIe with universal binary beta installed (Decklink_5_71)
OS 10.4.7, Final Cut Studio, After Effects 7 Pro

    Hi,

The SDI output is digital. Chances are that your monitor does not support SDI video. Try using the one labelled Y output instead if the input of your monitor is just a single BNC and switch the output video option in the DeckLink Preferences to “NTSC/PAL Y-Out”

As for audio, SPDIF is also digital. You’ll need to convert the digital audio output to analog audio. One option is the M-Aduio Flying Cow converters. Alternatively, the Edirol MA-10D which accepts SPDIF audio is a nice and low cost option.

    regards
