not quite understanding that instruction as it has always been set to firewire ntsc 720×480, what was it supposed to be set to before?

I don’t have an option for dv-29.97 under view-videoplayback-the only applicable option is apple firewire ntsc (720-480) I don’t see any framerate options, is there something I am not seeing?
also when you say change video output to 29.97 were you refereing to the playback? or do I go back into easy setup and change it again to regular dv-ntsc on top of the playback change?

yeah sorry, LCD… Okay will try the switching to 29.97. I did try this earlier though and it lead to issues in terms of the edit.

I was talking about the LED screen on the camera. Anyway nesting the timeline didn’t work. Do you have any other ideas. should I be looking at the hardware? I just captured footage from the camera yesterday so I know the connection was working well less than 24 hours ago and I do get an audio signal, just no video

I have the 10b timeline nested in a 23.98 timeline rendered. easy setup is for dv-ntsc 23.98 I can record the audio but I get no video in the LED… Any Ideas? -
rendering the new timeline now I will keep you posted and again thanks for the response. I hope this works!

so a 23.98 sequence and not 24? and there isn’t a 23.98 dv ntsc easy setup, should I create a custom easy setup with 23.98fps?

do I keep it at 24fps or move it to 29.97? I tried this earlier to no result but I will try again.
so these are my current settings
10bit timeline nested in a dv/dvcpro ntsc timeline 24fps
dv-ntsc easy setup…

I am able to see the video frame by frame in the LED of the camera but it stays freeze frame when I try to play it real time. I have also tried exporting a self contained quicktime and bringing that into a 29.97 timeline but still no video signal. This has to be just a setting I am missing but Im not sure what it is. Can anyone help? I have to get this footage out in the mail by this afternoon.
