I think I fall somewhere in the middle here – I think Cocoa, GCD, 64-bit, GPU utilisation to name a few are an amazing feat for an update, but I think layered illustrator/pdf files should’ve ABSOLUTELY been added long time ago, especially since the PDF format has been established for and hardly unchanged in years. One can only hope it in the future update(s).

Also would love to see some real 3D but I think this will probably never happen, I guess we always have Cinema 4D for that..

Has .ai/pdf import changed in Motion 5? Does it bring in the layers now?

    This is weird,

I’m having the same issue, neither keyframing or using ramp or other parameters on the amplitude or speed has any effect on the oscillate behaviour. It DOES show the values ramping down but the actual object oscillated doesn’t decay…

    Excellent!

Mark, do you know if you need the basicl PFhoe or the Pro to export direct to Motion?

On PFHoe website it says that they export only XML file for Motion (not Motion-specific project/files), does this import into Motion without errors and glitches?

Great, thanks Mark! Will have to try that. I wonder if it’ll work on a video background.

Stephen: That’s quite not what I was after, I need to get rid of the reflecting surface (i.e. a floor) while keeping the reflection cast onto the floor. ‘Reflections Only’ doesn’t get rid of the floor…

I’d suggest using Image Capture (in Applications folder) to copy footage off USB cameras.
