    5D Mkll into FCP

    Client brought in his Canon 5D Mkll to stitch together the HD footage he’d taken. Connected via USB,
    I could only access the media via iPhoto. Editing on a Mac Pro and FCP 6 and AJA Kona,Lhe, Is there another way I should be able to access the media from the 5D Mkll
    Any advice appreciated.

    I’d suggest using Image Capture (in Applications folder) to copy footage off USB cameras.

    For a small investment could you not use a CF card reader? It would transfer your footage much faster than the USB out of the camera.
