I understand. Will the quality be better on 720-60? 1080 60i looks a bit cleaner with less noise. Is it my imagination or go guys noticed the same.

    thanks,

Im very frustrated! I tried your settings, picture quality is better, but Im still getting strobing on the motion graphics. The video looks like it was a slower frame rate when watching the dvd.

please help. I need to turn this project in to the client.

Thanks for your help. I did exactly that, but my image (which is composed of graphical text and logos) still looks jittery, jaged, and with strobeing on motion.

    These were my steps:

    1. Exported a self contained, rendered file from a 72030p time line using current settings.
    2. Imported this file into DVD SP
    3. I used default bit rates, but I used 2 pass VBR. Motion estimation set to Best. Aspect 16:9
    4. track= Display mode 16:9 letterbox

What the F Im i doing wrong?

Okay, So if I have a fully rendered DVCPRO 72030P timeline and I want to make an SD QT to be used in DVD SP, What would be the best settings to use? Self contained, Using conversion, Compressor, etc.? So I dont get strobing, aliasing, jaged edges, etc.

The G-RAID PRO is a 5 bay raid 0, firewire 800 interphase. Im sceptical about the throuput of FW800, but I like the siplicity of the interconection. I need at least 40/mbs. Im editing DVCPRO HD 1080/60i I need realtime playback on at least 3 streams. Anyone tested this?

I can turn it off and maybe underwater the movements will be smooth, but if i shoot handheld not underwater with the OIS on i still see them and that is a problem if i take it off then it will be too shaky and i don’t want to be carrying always a tripod.

Thank you Uli. It seems that the quality is never good enough no matter what. The good news is that there are many other netwoks that we can offer our programs. I friend of mine has ashow called the Bite. they shoot everything with the Z1 and they are not doing bad at all.
