Similar thing happened to me today. I have an old G5 running a Kona 2
on 10.4.11. It’s still running fine on 6.0.2, but things got messy when I tried
installing 6.0.3. The card wasn’t detected etc… I uninstalled 6.0.3, re-installed
6.0.2, restarted the computer each times and repaired permissions. It’s now
running fine again… on 6.0.2.
I guess the forgot to run tests on the K2 B4 releasing the new driver…

It seems to be independent of the codec. Right now I’m in DVCPro-HD,
but it does the same in SD 8 or 10 bit uncompressed. Is this normal?
Could it be the analog output format setting (Component SMPTE?EBU N10)?

I understand they are 2 different color spaces. BUT what are the
actual differences between the two (besides the obvious image size
differences)?

Well, that’s what I did and didn’t get the letterbox “boxes” on the file, just an anamorphic
file. I looked at all the Compressor settings and didn’t find where to select for a letterbox
compression.

I rarely finish on BETA, always digital. Actually, a post house does
the final broadcast corrections for me since I don’t own scopes or
a BETA recorder, only a player. Is the difference in the 7.5 setup?
