But aren’t the ethernet RAID solutions built for that ? Ciprico’s DiMedia and LaCie’s EtherDisk seem to work for this kind of business, no ?

I forgot to mention, Ciprico and G-Tech are FibreChannel, but maybe eSATA could really well suite my needs ?

Probably, but the more I read and I understand that the best way to author would be always start with VTS_TT#1 as the First Play command. So from there, you can route where you want.

Thanks guys for all your replies. At start, I meant buying a single 60ft FW cable (PCCABLES.com), it seems to work for some people, not for others.Maybe its better to use booster instead of a single long cable ?

That’s pretty long, 200 feet. And how long was the longer shot ? I mean, maybe it works well just for capture/playback under certain amount of continuous time…
