    hi there, not sure you can do masking in FPX, but you can definately do it in after effects if you have that?

    just looking on resolve on a pc and your best bet is h264 i think. no pro res on a pc by the look of it

    my guess is that the footage was recorded using an old codec that mac no longer supports. mp4 is just the wrapping paper so to speak.

    As you can open the file, maybe try outputting a new version using a pro res codec. should work

    hiya, don’t know about your scanning software, but with photography kit, we could set what dpi we wanted to scan at, and then save it as a tiff.

    To make tiff’s i think you’re going to need photoshop or the like so i’m not sure you’d be able to use quicktime files. in your scanning software can you output still images. if so you could batch process in photoshop maybe

    Luckily I’m a team of one so was safe, but some from our media dept have gone… was worried tho as not many companies have a full time photographer/videographer. Running webinars saved me I think 🙂

    i’m a one man band based within the media dept of my company. I shoot everything except for a few RF lifestyle clips we get from pond5, and i edit on a mac pro and FCPX

    incidentally, also the company photographer. i have canon 60D and 1Dx which i use for both and a jvc camcorder

    to be honest, I’m not sure! We’re just trying to cover every possible angle before we submit our case to the bosses.

    i’ll be upgrading one way or another this year and after alot of tooing and froing (??) between fcp x and prem i think i’m back with fcp. your post helps confirm this

    i’d love to get a new mac pro but i have to make a case for software/hardware and justify costs to the boss. he’ll just say no to that much money unfortunately!
