The graphics card you are using is the limiting factor. In fact I believe that the Radeon 6800 does already allow larger image sizes but I haven’t tested so take that with a grain of salt.

For motion, the size restriction is entirely in hardware, as the error message posted.

Stephen – don’t know if I was blown away or not – the work is very good and at a professional level and very good for sure. But that’s what you’d expect.

The reel does showcase your undoubted talent in motion graphic design, but it doesn’t showcase your editing abilities. Editing (ie storytelling in picture sequences) is notoriously hard to do in a demo reel, so perhaps you’d be better served by simply labeling this your Motion graphics reel and let it stand as a good reel.

And good luck in your future endeavors – you have the talent and the chupaz (sp?) to make it.
