  • This is happening again with 8.8.5 not showing up in App Mgr 17.5.0 – where it should say Update it says Open! (And it opens MC.)
Yes, I can download MC 8.8.5 but to install it means De-Activating, Uninstalling, Installing the new version and Re-Activating. A right pain!! Especially when you’ve got 85 Macs to do!!!
App Mgr was supposed to simply update and save you having to go through all that rigmarole!
Let’s hope Avid sorts this out soon!!!

Having only just been inflicted with the green screen misery I tried both your suggestions but neither worked.
My MacBook Pro at home doesn’t have the same problem. At work the only difference is that we have a BlackMagic video card.
Eventually I took the last poster’s suggestion that it was Apple Pro Res that was at fault. So I changed the FCP Sequence settings’ codec to Photo JPEG. This solved the problem.
It it very surprising that Apple’s own codec should not work with its own programs.

    MacPro 10.5.5
    FCS 2 (FCP 6.06 + Motion 3.02)
    BlackMagic Multibridge Pro
