8.5 update for MC not showing up in the Application Manager
Posted by John Keating on March 19, 2016 at 1:33 pmI am not certain how to update MC from 8.4 to 8.5 when it does not show up in the application manager. Can someone help me get in the right direction.

March 20, 2016 at 2:26 amUninstall your current version using the uninstaller on your hard drive. The current version will appear in your Application Manager if your support contract is in effect. If your support contract has lapsed, you are not entitled to any updates.

July 14, 2017 at 2:22 pmThis is happening again with 8.8.5 not showing up in App Mgr 17.5.0 – where it should say Update it says Open! (And it opens MC.)
Yes, I can download MC 8.8.5 but to install it means De-Activating, Uninstalling, Installing the new version and Re-Activating. A right pain!! Especially when you’ve got 85 Macs to do!!!
App Mgr was supposed to simply update and save you having to go through all that rigmarole!
Let’s hope Avid sorts this out soon!!!
