I’ve done a take of over an hour with audio recorded on a MiniDisc, with no synch problems.
The pain was having to transfer digital audio – via analogue – back to digital on PC in real time!

Perhaps you can confirm another feature from Vegas that hopefully is also in the Studio version:
We can save up to TEN different vegas desktop arrangements and recall any one instantly –
To Save, set up the destop how you want then Ctrl/Alt D followed by the number you assign to that arrangement.
To recall desktop, Alt D followed by the number.
I use four or five regularly, including one I just love for multi track audio, which has just the Timeline filling my Dell 24″ 1920 x 1200 second monitor. So much space!!

If it’s digital it should be ok, but even if it’s not, Vegas makes it very easy to shrink or stretch (Ctrl/Drag edge) so that it matches up – I’ve had audio from cassettes that were way out but didn’t take long to fix.

Sounds like you’ve got them docked as tabs. This is often a good idea for Explorer, Project Media, Video FX, Transitions, Media Generators & Trimmer, as these are usually used one at a time.
The Preview window, however needs to be visible all the time, (except for audio only projects). You need to undock it using the vertical dots at top left, then move it and re-drop it so that it docks on its own further to the right. Experiment and you’ll get the hang of it.
(There are unlimited ways of setting up your space – this is just one suggestion.
Oh – and I’m asuming that the Studio version works the same as Vegas 6 in this respect.
If all else fails, you can hold Ctrl/Shift as you open Vegas and everything will revert to default.Good luck.

Not sure about this – I don’t appear to have Divx or Xvid available under my Render As choices, unless it’s hidden as a subset of something else.
So, it may be that you first have to purchase these codecs.
If you do perhaps they will then appear under the batch render list. Conjecture only – maybe someone who knows can confirm.

Insert a composite envelope on that track, then it’s just like tweaking volume – double click to create pivot points and drag down to reduce opacity.
By pointing at any node you will get a read out of what percentage the composite level is.

Sent – I applied the effect to Vegas Colour Bars, so no external media involved – just needs a logo or other pic to be dropped on as Take, or Paste attributes ….

One way to start, then you may care to embellish:
Use Pan crop keyframed so that the logo gets closer or “grows”. then quickly reverts to its starting position (Restore). If this is done in time with the audio it’s quite effective, but you may also like to distort it, maybe with Spherize, again go from no effect to spherize then back to no effect, with the same synched keyframes.
I just did this and it gave me the creeps!!
