Is there a way to make a photo or video clip look like a heartbeat? I am trying to match a heartbeat .wav with someones logo for a tradeshow demo video. They want the logo to pump (lack of a better term) like a heartbeat to match the .wav sound. Is this possible??

    Thanks..

One way to start, then you may care to embellish:

Use Pan crop keyframed so that the logo gets closer or “grows”. then quickly reverts to its starting position (Restore). If this is done in time with the audio it’s quite effective, but you may also like to distort it, maybe with Spherize, again go from no effect to spherize then back to no effect, with the same synched keyframes.

I just did this and it gave me the creeps!!

Take your heartbeat sound and add a marker at each beat. Go to pinch-punch filter and punch out your logo at each beat using the same key frame (you don’t have to add much punch for the effect to work) Now add two keyframes between each punch with the logo with no punch added. Move those two no punch keyframes around to get the right action. Repeat those between punches and bingo – a beating logo.

Sent – I applied the effect to Vegas Colour Bars, so no external media involved – just needs a logo or other pic to be dropped on as Take, or Paste attributes ….

I am about to start on a training video on ‘Physical Exercise’ aimed at health profrssionals. We are still at scripting stage and do not start actual filming until March but would love to have the veggies of the heartbeat effect. Somewhere in the script we have to look at cardio-vascular work-out.

I was thinking of using Acid to produce short pieces to go with various types of exercises: jogging, line dancing, gardening etc etc. and use heartbeat rhythm.

    Bearing in mind that
1- I have never used Acid
    2 – I know nothing about music

Do you think that’s a good idea?

    Regards

    Hi Mahesh

I just sent the veg – hope it’s close to what you’re after.

Regarding music, Acid is a great place to start – I would play around with it to get familiar with it. You sort of “paint” music along each track, and you can audition another loop whilst listening to the timeline.

You can also change tempo, keys plus volume and pan changes just like Vegas.

Let me know if you need further help or tips …
