Unfortunately both my big firewire drives are out at clients ;(
But then again the MBP is going to be throttled by that write speed, I get 97 MB/s write from one half of the XSR.
Also the MBP only has a firewire 400 connector. Can’t somebody invent a Express card with SFPs on it????

The problem is disk speed – My G5’s are on fibre to an XSR so render files are not going to be limited as much by write speeds.
Any ideas on how I can compare them that doesn’t involve disk writing?

Tom,
All I have tested so far is if try to open a FCP PPC project in FCP (intel) that has AE plugins in it, it will open but will say it can’t find the plugs & do you want to find them in another directory. You also get that red screen.
So if you do have an old sequence you can open the thing up & remove the filters & work on it fine.
I will get round to trying to install Sapphire on my MBP later.

Select the clips, right click or control click and then choose paste attributes from the contextual menu.

copy the scaling attributes form the first clip, select the rest then paste attributes

You could always export a PDF out of Illustrator and do it that way.
You will probably need to adjust the scroll speed to get a smooth roll without ‘splitting’ any pixels frame to frame and you probably need to run with field rendering on.

This is quite easy to do,
Create a layer for the Role list and tap all of those in ranged (alignment) right to the RHS edge of that layer, do the same for the Names but range on the left hand side of another layer.
Combine these two layers into one new layer, move the x coordinates of the individual layers to get the gutter then animate the Y on the main layer for the roll.
Or, on one single layer draw a tall thin rectangle in the middle to be your gutter, range the text left and right of this and then toggle off the rectangles’ visibility
Easy!
You never know I might even make a template!
