A colleague of mine had 512M of memory in his MacBookPro. FCP would run but not Motion.
He had to upgrade to 2G of memory which was only about $80.Peter

Tried opening any of the autosaves?

Deinterlace, crush the blacks slightly, turn the chroma up a few clicks and apply the vignette without the defocus & soften the edge a bit.

Leopard didn’t take long to load on my MacPro.
Early posters on the the Apple boards say Motion 3 won’t load. I’m installing FCS2 on leopard as I type.

Just to add my 3pence in here:-
All voice on my broadcast stuff is compressed. There is no way it could go out without as the dynamic range is so large people would be struggling to hear words – especially against music. This is of course from camera originals, not studio tapes that have had compression already applied by the sound mixer.
I use the AU Dynamics Processor -up the compression until you have the voice within the desired dynamic range. For me in the UK thats 4 and a half to 6 on a PPM.

The ‘Drop in” template that you bought was made by a third party using Noise industries ‘engine’ that allows Quart Compositions to be bundled into FxPlug filters & generators.
Did you know there was a 15 day free trial on all the products before you bought?Depending on you QC skills, the FxFactory Pro package is virtually endless -Have an idea, build it in QC and then load it into FCP & Motion. All without a line of code. Thats exactly what I did when I made Volumetrix and if I can do it, so can others.

You might be able to filter off some of the bass though.
