ignore the above! It is working! I am not sure what happened but I was pasting in only part of the expression.
Sorry to have wasted your time reading this post… though if I have brought more attention to this useful expression then it has served some purpose.
Thanks Dan!small flowers crack concrete

Thanks for the response. In my preliminary experimetns I have already encountered the PITA that is project collection. What is the Batch method you use, is it more than simply queuing a bunch of comps to render.
Thanks again

Hey there.
this is probably not exactly what you are looking for but. You could just apply expression control effects to the layers, sliders, position, angle control etc and simply link them with pick whip expressions to the layers transform attributes. Then save those effects and expressions as an animation preset that you can apply to any layer that you want effects style control of. Then whenever you select a layer those controls will appear in the effects panel. I will often create a null and link attributes of many layers to expression controllers on it so I can tweak numerous attributes within the effects panel.
Hope this helpssmall flowers crack concrete

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately the files are corrupt rather than being a memory problem.
I have had very few problems with image sequences till now.
I found the best way to detect them was to drag the entire sequence into preview, which will throw up a error message specifying images which won’t load. Scanning the thumbnails will also show which images are recognized as PNGs but are incomplete, i.e, half black.
so yeah
Painful, time consuming,thanks again

February 26, 2008 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Slowing down footage and keep it looking great. We don’t have any 60fps footage, though I have tried a little something with AE’s timewarp, and it looks fine, at about quarter speed it holds up pretty well. But I am sure I can push it further still with what we shoot which will be under ideal conditions. Thanks for your advice.

I am not having much luck with importing the text file into maya. When I compare the pasted keyframe data with a maya .ma there seem to be alot of flags that I don’t have. What kind of text format does it need to be? I am not that familiar with MEL so am not sure how to begin using the keyframe data this way.
Thanks for the response

Hi
I am using keylight to key out some 16mm footage.
however after i have pulled a key the footage is becoming very buzzy and edges look
very jagged. I can change this using keylight, but surely the orginal key should be better than this
before I play with the settings? I also know the noise on 16mm is more than say vari-cam…Woud re-importing it in frames help?
thanks
