Have you attempted to use the product in standalone mode? Try running the RED engine and see if that solves the spline video problem that you are seeing. If it isn’t working in standalone then this could be an indicator that there might be something awry with the RED preference file on your system. You can simply delete this file to reset it. RED should allow you to use video on spline objects in either mode but I’m asking you to try the standalone mode of operation to remove the M100 host from the equation and isolate the problem.

regarding this: but simply cannot change any of the border colors

Make sure that you have the spline track that you are attempting to change selected before you make the change. I’m pretty sure the cause of the problem is rooted in the selection

regarding this: the newest update won’t work with G4

I’m certain that the latest update will operate just fine on a G4 system

That is truly bizarre and a bit of a mystery to me.

All I can suggest is that you remove the clip with the alpha matte from the timeline, cut it back in to the timeline, apply the BCC Jitter filter to the title clip, and enable the apply to title matte to see if this solves the problem.

I just tried this on my MC system and it worked like a charm.

Okay. So are you attempting to filter a title or other element with alpha? If this is the case then you need to enable the “apply to title matte” function in the BCC filter. This will confine the filter to the clip to which it is being applied without affecting the layers below. You can find this switch in the Title Matte group which is located below the General Controls group in the filter.

Yes, Blue works equally well as plug-in or standalone and there are, for all intents, no differences between the plug-in and standalone application feature set.

The way to do that would be to render out Quicktime or AVI files, then import the rendered clips into AE and treat them with the AE plug-in effects.

That’s quite understandable and is the reason for the existence of the BCC 6 3D Objects product.

So we have the new version with the CS4 installer for Windows already up on the web – not sure if this is the version that you were using when you saw the error. The Mac version will be available later today.

Can you please send me more detail regarding the problem that you are seeing? I want to see if we can reproduce this exact problem in our labs. I’ll need to know what media type (AVI/Quicktime etc) and format (sd/hd prog/interlaced etc) you are using as well as the exact version of both Graffiti and Premiere Pro.
