    Hi,

I suspect what is happening is that the background in the filter is set to none. You can change this by going into the BCC Extruded Text filter General Controls group (in the Effect Editor) and setting the Background pop-up to Filter Layer.

    I hope this helps.

  • Hi,

That message will appear if you are not parked on the first frame of the clip when you attempt to track. So, place the time marker at the start of the clip, enable track on the fly, and play through the clip to track motion.

I’d like to suggest that you get in touch with one of our support reps who will gladly walk you through this. You can reach them via email at support@borisfx.com.

    I hope this helps.

    Peter.

I’m afraid you’ll have to import the target clip into RED for that.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

All I can say at this moment is that it’s currently in development (a work in progress) and that we expect to make the release happen just as soon as we can. I know that’s not very target date specific but it’s as specific as I can be.

We’ll update the website to more accurately reflect the state of the project.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

Hmmm … very odd. I’m not having that problem on my systems, and both Mac and Win are operating as expected. To use the Pivot control, you need to unlock the pivot point from the Position point by unchecking the Lock Pivot button, which is enabled by default. Then twirl open the Pivot XY group and you should be able to click and reposition the pivot control. Or, as you wanted to do, you can simply drag the on-screen cross-hair widget/target.

But your issue is that you cannot see the on-screen controls. Please contact one of our support guys – you can reach them via email at support@borisfx.com. I’m sure they can help sort this out for you.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

    Hi Gary,

I suggest that you create a new comp, then add a new 3D Plane track. You should have a Texture track under Scene>Video1>Material>Texture. Click on the V1 media button on the Texture track and set it to Solid Color, then follow the rest of the instructions in the tutorial.

    I hope this helps.

    Peter.

    HI,

The Pivot on-screen UI crosshair control widget should be available. You need to make sure that the Standard UI Widgets button is enabled – this is the button at the top right of the effects controls window. The button below that disables the on-screen UI controls.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Mike,

They would show up under the BCC 7 filters grouping, with names such as BCC Steel Plate, BCC Brick, BCC Caustics, BCC Clouds, etc.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
