    Hi Jeron,

Just wanted to let you know that this is still in the queue and we have not forgotten about it. The first round of testing showed that using BCC 5 with Premiere Pro 2 on Windows works as expected – next we’ll test with Premiere Pro CS3.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

September 17, 2007 at 2:07 pm in reply to: BCC 5 AE installation questions

    Hi,

If you install BCC 5 into AE without first removing BCC 4 I suspect that AE will issue a conflict message when you launch AE 7. Actually you’ll see 157 conflict messages. 🙂

I suggest that you remove BCC 4 from the machine and then install BCC 5 into both AE 7 and AE 8, which will co-exist peacefully.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

    Hi,

I’d like to assist you in solving this issue. Can you please tell me which version of Boris FX you are using? Meanwhile, the first thing that I would try is to delete the .ini file and try to see if this solves the problem. The next step is to download and install the latest version of Boris FX product from the BorisFX website to see if this resolves the problem.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

    Hi,

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been experiencing some issues rendering out with the tool suite that you are using; I’m going to see if I can replicate the problem in our labs so that we can arrive at a solution which will enable you to continue to use the BCC filters in the configuration that you have listed.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

September 4, 2007 at 12:47 pm in reply to: BCC 4.1 installation woes — mac pro AE CS3

    Hi Henry,

Sorry to hear that you’ve had trouble with the BCC 4.1 installation – let’s see if we can sort that out for you.

Are you using the BCC 4.1 Universal Binary installer? If the filters don’t show up the first thing that comes to mind is that the non-universal filters are being used, which of course will not show up in a universal binary application, such as CS3.

Have you tried installing the BCC 5.1 trial version to see if that works?

    Thanks,

    Peter.

August 31, 2007 at 5:39 pm in reply to: Position & Pivot problem

I’m glad that did the trick for you. The controls in Pivot tab are used only to control the offset of the pivot axis from the shape center axis – quite useful if, for instance, you want to make a hinge effect where one plane flips along one of it’s sides to reveal another.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

    Hi,

If you click on the lock button (to set it in the unlock state) which is located on the pivot tab in the controls window then you will be able to use the pivot and position parameters independently of each other.

Please let me know if this helps.

    Cheers,

    Peter.
