Hi Phil,
You can simply delete them from the FCP plug-ins folder and they will disappear.
HD/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins

Hi,
Are you sure that the font was installed correctly? Sometimes if the screen font is installed and the printer font is not, or not in the right place, this will be the result.
Does the font render correctly when you use it in the RED standalone render engine?
Is the problem isolated to this font or does this happen with any font?

Hi,
RED should recognize any standard system font. Add the font to your system and see if RED can see it. If it doesn’t show up in RED then you might want to see if it shows up in other applications, such as MS Word or Adobe Photoshop to make sure that it was installed correctly.

Hi Maura,
I wish I knew what was causing this to happen and could offer a concrete solution to the problem but this is the first time that I have heard of something like this. Have you called Apple? If not then this would be the first thing that I would do. There may be a preference file that you could move or delete which might or might not help. Go to this directory:
Macintosh HD/Users/(login)/Library/Preferences/Final Cut Pro User Data
Drag these files to the Desktop:
“Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs”
“Final Cut Pro Obj Cache”
“Final Cut Pro Prof Cache”and then relaunch FCP. If this does the job for you then you should be all set, but if not then you can simply move this file back to return the preferences to their previous state.
There are also preference files for Title 3D and Title Crawl that can be moved / deleted to see if that makes a difference. Go to this directory:
Macintosh HD/Users/(login)/Library/Preferences/
“com.borisfx.Title 3D”
com.borisfx.Title Crawl”again, move these to the desktop and relaunch FCP.
Apart from that all I can suggest is that you call Apple support.

I believe that the current versions of Graffiti and FX should operate as expected on your G4. With that I would suggest that you first try downloading and installing the new versions of these apps. The versions that you are looking for are many years old and it would be quite a bit for work for us to pull them from the archives to make them available to you. If you have any problems with the installation of the new versions please feel free to contact us for assistance at support@borisfx.com.

Are you using the latest Boris RED product installer which can be downloaded from the BorisFX web site? You might want to send an email to support (support@borisfx.com) and ask one of the techs assist you in the install process.

Unfortunately our integration with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 on the Mac has been hampered by the fact that Adobe have switched the API (application programming interface) with this version of their editing solution. I believe they are aware of the problem and are working on a solution. One thing to keep in mind is that this is the first version of Premiere Pro to work on Mac OSX and anytime there is a new product on any platform there are bound to be a few teething problems – it just happens that one of the problems is with the plug-in interface. If you have After Effects, you might want to install the plug-ins into that host, and export rendered Quicktime files which can be imported into Premiere
