October 8, 2014 at 4:12 pm in reply to: Issues adjusting frame rate with with Twixtor on SD footageHello,
We received an email yesterday asking this same exact question. Do you perhaps work with that person we helped out yesterday?
Heres’ what I answered to that person:
When working with 59.94i (newer term, designated 59.94 samples per second, interlaced), you may know that interlaced footage used to be designated 29.97i (29.97 frames per second, with interlacing). So in fact, with what you want to do (introduce an in-between field where one did not previously exist), then you do indeed need to use both TimeWarp and Twixtor at 100%. This is because we assume the old method of designating frames per second, 29.97i/29.97p = 100%

Hello back,
Not sure what’s up. You might be running out of memory. (FCP 7 is notorious for this).
How many frames are you trying to accumulate with DE:Noise Frame Accumulate? Also are there any other plugins before DE:Noise (this can cause issues with memory requirements).
Note that DE:Noise does not use the GPU, so there’s nothing for DE:Noise to set or unset there.
Perhaps you can send us your FCP 7 project (no media needed just yet)
and I’ll take a look. Make sure to tell me what sequence to look at.send the project to us at techsupport (at) revisionfx (dot) com.

It’s probably not the Red Giant plugins if you just downloaded a week ago. However, I would try to uninstall Red Giant then see if Twxitor shows up.
What version of the Mac OS are you using? We’ve seen some issues with Mac OS 10.9 Also, are you using the Twixtor installer from our website? Are you using Twixtor v6?

Sorry we missed your message on the first time you posted.
Have to say that it seems that 10.9 breaks a lot of things…
That said you should quite FCE, try to install this from Apple, and restart FCE: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL98?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

June 5, 2014 at 3:42 pm in reply to: Twixtor not showing up in the effect tab [Final Cut Pro 7]Hello,
I’m guessing you have Red Giant Color Suite installed? This actually turns out be a bug in Red Giant’s software (not sure exactly how, but they’ve fixed it!).
Hopefully downloading the latest version will fix this problem for you: https://www.redgiant.com/blog/2014/05/29/update-color-suite-11-1-1/
