  • Twixtor not showing up in the effect tab [Final Cut Pro 7]

    Hi,

I’ve installed the demo version of Twixtor on my Mac but it does not appear in the effect tab. Yet it is installed in the fxplug folder.

Does anyone knows a trick ?

    Thank you,
    JD

    Hello,

I’m guessing you have Red Giant Color Suite installed? This actually turns out be a bug in Red Giant’s software (not sure exactly how, but they’ve fixed it!).

Hopefully downloading the latest version will fix this problem for you: https://www.redgiant.com/blog/2014/05/29/update-color-suite-11-1-1/

Did this fix work for you? Because I’m having the same problem and have Red Giant installed but just installed it maybe a week ago, so I’m assuming it’s the newest version they offer!

Any help would be much appreciated; do you think that uninstalling Red Giant (if even temporarily?) would help matters? Twixtor is most important!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Has Twixtor installed correctly and worked for you in your current configuration? If so, did it disappear when you installed Red Giant?

It’s probably not the Red Giant plugins if you just downloaded a week ago. However, I would try to uninstall Red Giant then see if Twxitor shows up.

What version of the Mac OS are you using? We’ve seen some issues with Mac OS 10.9 Also, are you using the Twixtor installer from our website? Are you using Twixtor v6?

    Thanks for the quick response!

    1. I tried uninstalling all the Red Magic plugins…to no avail; still when I apply the Twixtor effect it says “Twixtor” in the inspector panel, just with no options under it!

    2. I am running the Yosemite build of Mac OS X, so I’m on version 10.10 – that must be the issue right?

Thanks in advance for any help,
    Brandon
