For deinterlacing I would use our FieldsKit, not Twixto (FieldsKit is designed for deinterlacing…Twixtor is for high-quality retiming).
Plugin is $89.95. More info here: https://www.revisionfx.com/products/fieldskit/
You can try out a demo (in the downloads section). Be sure to look for the short manual that is installed with the plugins upon installation.

April 17, 2008 at 11:56 pm in reply to: Applying motion blur to each layer or to a top adjustment layer?[Ben Scott] “Would it be advisable to instead apply the Reelsmart Motion Blur effect to each individual layer? “
YES! As you have found out, ReelSmart Motion Blur has trouble tracking when there are multiple objects crossing. The more you can separate layers and apply RMSB to each layer the better.
Of course, you will pay a rendering hit, but I think that’s infinitely preferable to the problems in tracking that you are seeing. There may be times when you can apply RSMB to an adjustment layer, but it sounds like in the example you currently have that this is not the way to go.

The manual is put on your disk upon installation… have you found that?
In any event, inside it is a link to this FAQ on our website: https://www.revisionfx.com/support/faqs/generalfaqs/sequences_longer/
Click on the blue “Final Cut Pro” bar and the information you need is described there. Note that each image on the page can be clicked on for a larger view.

April 10, 2008 at 9:00 pm in reply to: Problem changing my email associated with my account[Abraham Chaffin] “To use this form you should already be logged into the account you want to modify. “
I was.
[Abraham Chaffin] “Put your desired email address in the top field and your password in the middle field – click go. An email will be sent to you with a code. Re enter your information along with the code when you receive it and click go again. Your email address will be changed. “
Again, did that. Did not work.
Anyhow, the powers-that-be fixed it, so I’m good now.

April 10, 2008 at 8:58 pm in reply to: Hiding my email address from spammers and such? Thanks for the responses.
I can’t remember posting my cow email address on any of my posts… but I’m sure that memory is wrong! I’m just so OVER getting spam and am trying to reduce what gets to me.
Thanks for the fast responses! I’m sure it’s my fault for posting the email address as some point.
(And I use a Mac-based email client… so I hope there is less chance of email address proliferation to sapmmers)

No way around it except as you mention.
The Pro version allows you to switch between tracking to the previous frame or next frame, allowing you to change the setting at cut points. It also has an “Auto” detection feature that attempts to do this automatically for you. So “yes”, the pro version has more features to allow you to fix the problem. Please note: the animating of the menu item of “auto” “next” and ‘prev” frame in the Pro versions needs an application that allows you to animate menu items, which Final Cut Pro does not provide.
