    Hi,

I am currently working on a 1080i 50Hz (DVCPRO HD PAL) project and I would like to know what’s the best way to convert it to 1080p. I know that there is some plugins out there that can do the job… What’s the best way to “de-interlace” without losing too much image quality.

    Thank you

    Joel

For deinterlacing I would use our FieldsKit, not Twixto (FieldsKit is designed for deinterlacing…Twixtor is for high-quality retiming).

Plugin is $89.95. More info here: https://www.revisionfx.com/products/fieldskit/

You can try out a demo (in the downloads section). Be sure to look for the short manual that is installed with the plugins upon installation.

Yeah fieldskit looks like the best one I’ve seen (without trying them all). The sample I’ve seen looks spectacular (thinking of one with the barrel)

Is there any particular reason you want to convert to 1080p footage?

Thank you for the advice, i will give Fieldskit a try.

The de-interlace process I want to try is for a 35mm blowup of the 1080i50 project I am working on.

    Your help is very appreciated.
