No phones in the control room!
Lots of tv stations have alarms on the entry doors that go off if a mobile that is on enters.

What I do (and its a while ago as MS is soo yesterday)
Take side ch, parallel it off and bring it back to another channel. Pan this right and pan the original left. Phase invert right and mix both in as a stereo pair a little (not too much as you are messing with phase.) This gives the stereo with the main left ch providing the main feed.peter

Are your sound files in stereo, and do they need to be?
If you tried converting them to mono files then they just halved in size.
However do test it out. Im not sure what nero will do with them (audio may well be mono from 1 channel only but its wortha look.peter

Hi- I dont know this mixer, but i just Googled for it and the write ups seem less than clear. They think that a “bright LED” is more important then explaining the basic bollistics of it.
However, and without knowing, Id suggest that at this price point its more likely to be a VU rather than a PPM.This is because a ppm meter alone costs more than the whole mixer.Cheers

Are you ready for the increase (big time) in the time youll need to spend on sound tracks to build a 6 channel field?
Do these event videos really require it?
If you create the discreet mixes satifactorily, what will u use to encode them into an ac3 file?
Are you going to also make a LtRt mixdown for those without decoders.?
Presumably everything youre talking about will go to dvd. If not how will you create a Dolby e mix.Lots to consider

The g5 will have a 3.5mm mini jack. (God knows why)
The stereo will more than likely have a pair of RCA jacks (or phono depending on country)
Any store or guy with a soldering iron can whip this cable up in 20 seconds flat!Peter
