What your looking for is in After Effects. Premiere Pro does not have this ability.
There’s a lot of great tutorials out there on this.

Hi Michael,
I posted to another thread and did not remember to post here as well. I’m sorry for that.
Here’s the link to the other thread which discusses the same issue. I’ll copy my response below.

Sorry again for the frustration and time this has caused. A co-worker of mine did a bit more investigation and was able to isolate two related scenarios that led to a condition similar if not identical to what was reported.
Scenario A: Clip was touched by 7.x
Import a spanned P2 clip (AVC-I or DVCPRO) into CC7.x.
Insert a clip marker or revise any XMP metadata. (This results in an XMP file being written to the CLIP folder under CONTENT.)
Import the same P2 clip into CC2014.x.Scenario B: Clip has an XMP file but no media cache files (specifically the .pek files)
Import a spanned P2 clip without an XMP file into CC2014.x
Insert a clip marker or revise any XMP metadata.
Save and close the project.
Clear the media cache files
Either reload the same project, or create a new one and import the same spanned P2 clip.In both of these scenarios, we observed two issues:
A) the audio waveform is incomplete
B) no audio plays for the segment of the clip without a waveform. In our testing, closing and reloading the project fixed the issue with the missing audio at the end of the clip. However, the waveform remained incomplete.
A workaround to get the full waveform is to delete the XMP file and the .pek files for the affected clips. Be aware that clearing the XMP will erase all markers and other metadata that is saved to the XMP file.Just to emphasize, the issues we identified are limited to P2 clips that span two or more MXF files in CONTENT/VIDEO.
Please let us know if neither of the scenarios above apply in your case, if complete audio isn’t restored by closing & reloading the project, or if deleting the XMP and .pek files does not yield a complete audio waveform.

October 8, 2014 at 11:50 pm in reply to: AJA Io 4K Premiere CC 2014 audio monitoring issueHi Paul,
I was able to reproduce the audio issue your describing. We’re working with AJA to resolve the issue now.
As for the responsiveness issue your seeing. Are you aware of the new buffer setting inside Premiere’s Playback preferences? Changing the buffer size to Minimum really improves the responsiveness.
Here’s the notes from AJA’s release notes. Hope this helps!
New Hardware buffering setting in the Transmit plug-in. To change the setting in Premiere Pro, go to Edit>Preferences>Playback>Video Device>AJA Device>Setup>Buffer Mode
• Standard – This mode uses an 8 frame buffer and is recommended for use when mastering tapes. This is the default mode.
• Minimum – This mode uses a 3 frame buffer. Using this mode will increase the likelihood of dropped frames on the output when system resources are not keeping up, but can improve the stop/start and JKL performance on the timeline while editing.
• Maximum – This mode uses a 14 frame buffer and should be used any time occasional frame drops are occurring and limited system resources are the suspected culprit. For example, with an underpowered, older Mac Mini, or a system without a Mercury Approved GPU, this setting may help mitigate minor frame drops.Peter Garaway

October 8, 2014 at 12:28 am in reply to: Bug report for 8.1: XDCAM EX codec seems brokenIf you’re having problems with sequence presets and codecs missing from Premiere Pro, see this document for solutions for this activation issue.
This document relates to the following problems:
missing sequence presets when creating a new sequence
Encore error: “Encore will not launch in non-royalty bearing mode. The application needs to be serialized with a royalty bearing serial number.”
When opening a project in Premiere Pro: “Error Adobe Premiere Pro: This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type.”
When importing footage, the footage is missing audio or video. These failures are all because Premiere Pro and Encore use some codecs that require activation before they can be used. If activation of these codecs has failed, these codecs will not be available to use.

October 6, 2014 at 11:03 pm in reply to: Why is “Project Managed” file much bigger than original? There are a few open issues where the Project Manager calculations are off and in some cases report a much larger estimated size. Please check the actual project size once it’s been transcoded.

September 30, 2014 at 11:57 pm in reply to: Premiere Pro CC will not play any media after clicking outside the programHi Ned,
I’m unable to reproduce what your experiencing. Have you cleaned your system lately? Wiped Premiere Pro prefs and cache files? Any need to stay on 10.7.5? There will plenty of improvements in 10.8.5. Not sure if this will solve the issue but hopefully Premiere will run more smoothly with the update.

Internally testing has proved positive. There’s also a fix in 10.9.5 where Premiere Pro would occasionally crash due to too many plugins.
Here’s the official link

September 18, 2014 at 4:50 pm in reply to: Project Manager: do i understand this correctly? This is by design. Multicam clips and a nested sequence (multicam enabled or not) has to include the entire source.
