    Hello Forum

I have a serious problem with the CC 2014 version of premiere. It is connected to P2 clips and here with the audio part. After updating existing projects to the new 2014 version or with a new project from scratch in CC 2014 we sometimes get the following problem: Audio is lost within a clip, or waveforms are lost within a clip or both together. See the image, please:

This happens on several systems. On Mac and on Windows PC. All Macs have the most recent OS, Windows is 7. Not all clips on a card are wrong. Sometimes one out of 5, sometimes two. Deleting cache, changing XMP settings, nothing helps. Re-importing or relinking after cache delete won’t help.
If I import this clip in Premiere CC all is fine. If I import this clip in FCP old and FCP X, all is fine.

If I open a project on a mac, which was fine on a windows PC for two weeks, one or two clips lost audio.

Any ideas? Found nothing on adobe forums.

    Thanks

    Michael

Nobody else out there with this problem? We are working day by day for a big company and have this problem on 4 different systems and on some freelancer macs. P2 is ingested with ShootPut Pro to our centralized server or via prelude onsite.
Up to CC 2014 we never had so much trouble with a CC version. Sometimes AME is not starting or we have kernel freezes. I really like the new version, but it seems not as reliable like the CC 2013.

We are having very similar problems. Audio is either flatlining or only coming out of one channel. Posted on another thread as well. Bizarre.

This is my post from the other thread:

This is happening to us as well. My editor has been working on one project in Premiere CC for the past week. Every time she reopens it the audio is either completely missing (flatlined) or only coming out of one channel.

Adobe CC support suggested she a) create a new sequence and copy / paste her timeline into it. (for issues with audio coming out of only one channel) and b) import her entire project into After Effects and re-export it to Premiere for the issue of audio completely flatlining. This works but loses all of her keyframes on the audio timeline and bumps the timing off as well.

Ridiculous. Does anyone have any idea in terms of what is going on here?

I had started the thread Roz was mentioning. I’m still having the problem. I have waveforms, but no signal in the meters sometimes. It’s happened on 2 projects now (Pro CC 2014 on a Mac) but I’ve worked on a new project for 2 days and no problems so far. On the 2 projects that are having problems, I can re start PP several times and eventually the audio will work. VERY scary and frustrating.

    …Add me to the list!

Primarily happens on interviews. About 4-6 minutes in the audio suddenly just flatlines. Seems like it’s probably close to a span point and the audio just isn’t coming along for the ride???

    Anyone have a solution?

I have no solution. The funny ??? thing is, yesterday I imported P2 footage, which I have problems with before at the same workstation again in a new project and all was fine. So, not a constant bug……
There are updates today for Pr, AME and Prelude. Maybe it was getting fixed.

I placed a comment about this problem on the premiere adobe blog. What happened? They deleted my comment. I was not ranting, just telling that some of us have a serious problem with this CC 2014 update.

    I am very disappointed.

I am also having P2 import problems on just about all my audio using premiere/prelude. Seems like Adobe isn’t recognizing certain spans. Like others here, it just flatlines after a while. My only fix to this point has been to go into the P2 Viewer Plus software and copying the clips from there into my local folders. Weird. This is so annoying!
