Hi. You might also try setting the shutter to ‘half’ when you shoot 1080i 25p or 720p 25p
This will get you away from too much of a strobbing feel. Go into the settings in the camera for shutter and on the last seting go through it until you get to ‘half’ which will enable this setting on the shutterswitch in front.
A matter of taste but you might try it.

Thanks, I just did that. In the manual I got the impression that it should work but in another place I saw your solution described. check out the pages 317-318 in the first manual.

Hi Bob. My name is really Frick but I unfortunately was in a bit of a hurry when I came up with that stupid name thefreak. Anyway. My graphicsguys have exported the stuff I need from After effects and using an AVID-codec which does not work. What we evntually did was to export the material, a 30 sek bumper, as a tif sequence then ran that through quicktime exporting it as 8-bit uncompressed. I use black magic. The strange thing is that when I tried to import the sequence straight into fcp I got an error message, insufficient content for edit. I think this is a bug.
    See you

  • problem solved. Thanks guys for pointing me i the right direction. It did not work (strangely) with working in the motion tab. However, I choose the shift fields filter (under videofilters, video) and chose -1 that solved the problem.

  • I have tried what you suggested, except recapturing. None of it seems to work I’m afraid. I’m working in 16:9 could this affect the issue?
