Conversion to AVI
Client is asking for delivery in .avi format. I tried Quicktime conversion but the result was very poor. Is there an export setting from FCP or some other readily available tool to produce .avi files?

Try converting with mpegstreamclip. Free softwear. google mpeg streamclip and you’ll find it.
