  • If you have trapcode particular, you can emit Particles with zero speed from your light.
    this will create a nice 3d line.

    I’ve done it before by using a small square solid, use expression to relate scale of solid to size of stroke….
    & relate the position to the write on position , then set the solid to auto orient to it’s motion path….

    Never say it can’t be done,
    Just admit YOU can’t do it.

    I think I just realized the answer… put them all to 4 % transparency & put them all to add mode … adding to a black solid.
    this way , the final image is the cumulative effect of every image.

    In AE Keylight uses Masks for holdout Instead of Bitmaps…
    Use Inside & Outside mask (as garbage mattes)

    make the masks on the layer,they may need to be animated.
    Set them to none as a masking function
    then select them in the popup in keylight.

    Shake’s way is better… because you can use it for procedural mattes

    This has happened to me before
    Trash your AE prefs.
    (Back them up in case you need to restore them)

    this SHOULD fix it!
