Cant import NOTHING!

Does this happen all the time, with all projects?
Does it happen when you import any file?
Does it happen when you render from the render queue?
When did this start happening?
Did you change something before this started? Have you added new RAM? Changed the system in any way?
Do you have an ATI card? It may be hiding your import dialog, so you should update your drivers.
Does this happen with new projects?
Does this happen when no third-party plugins are used?
Have you tried deleting the preferences file?
Have you tried restarting AE? Rebooting the computer? Reinstalling AE?
Which version of AE do you have?
What are your system specs?
Which OS are you running?

This has happened to me before
Trash your AE prefs.
(Back them up in case you need to restore them)
