    Hi Samantha.

For sake of clarity, Resolve opens, exports and imports Resolve projects. You do this from Resolves Project Manager.

If you export a FCP XML you can use that to import the timeline in Resolves Conform page.

When you save a Resolve project you are saving the metadata to recreate that project, not media which you need to handle yourself.

If you can clarify your problem and provide more details we can assist further.

Its a good idea to read the manual too as there is a lot of examples there for round trip XML operation.

  • The Q4000 is a good UI card but slow in todays terms for image processing. The config guide describes the slowest and fastest cards supported.
When you select interlace processing your playback speed will half.

If you have interlace source material you only need to select interlace processing if you need to apply a resize or any of the image blur operations. If you dont use these, leave the interlace processing off.

It does sound like the field dominance of the camera recorded images is reversed and this is sometimes reflected as the jaggies you describe. Also consider to output a single field when paused… its in general settings.

You can use an external matte on the track node and apply the grain. Link the video out of the matte node and adjust the gain for opacity. I remember seeing an example on the Lift Gamma Gain forum.
It was a new v9 feature.

Hi, are you using Mac OSX 10.7.x…with an ATI GPU? … if so you should upgrade to 10.8.x as we have many similar highlight reports of this OS/GPU issue fixed with 10.8.x.

Could you provide details on your hardware ram and CPU details, hard disk.. etc.. and which GPU and gpu drivers and cuda version.

Hi, whats you source clip format? How does it look on the media page viewer? Can you reproduce this with a linear window or just circle or just a power grade?
Can you grab a still and post so we can see?

November 9, 2012 at 7:24 am in reply to: LINUX version xyz color space

Currently, only specific Linux configurations offer 12 bit XYZ monitoring output. We expect a future update will make this available on both Mac and Windows platforms but can’t at this time specify the release date.
