Thanks Erik. Very helpful. The novoflex seems like a good choice for me. I am just wonder if the Adaptimax Plus f-stop adjustment knob has finer control that might be worth the extra expense…
I have a Nikon 24-70 f.2.8 on the way for use on my AF100, and have never used a G lens with no aperture ring.

I see. Thanks. I was under the mistaken impression that there is a separate aperture in the adapter itself and so you needed to set the lens aperture wide open.

One of the criticisms of the Novoflex adapter is that fine tuning of the aperture is difficult. Do you know who sells the Adaptimax adapter in the USA?

    Thanks again.

    Thanks for the responses.
What is the difference between 1080 24P and 1080 24PA?
Also, in terms of archiving footage, how much bigger are the 1080 24P original P2 clips than the 720 24P clips?

Before sending the camera for service I plan to repeat the same test with a completely different type of profession mic, a Sennheiser ME66 short shotgun. I am extremely critical of audio quality and was so pleased with the performance of the DVX in this regard. I would like to get the bottom of this problem with my HVX.

Jan thanks so much for keeping up with this forum and your professional advice.
